Travel Information
Weather
Unfortunately visitors are sometimes incorrectly informed about Koh Samui
weather seasons prior to their departure. Not everyone is aware for example,
that we do not have the same rainy season as does Phuket. This is because Koh
Samui island is situated on the Gulf coast and faces east, and feels the effect
of the Northeast monsoon.
January - February is the cool
season on Samui Island; temperatures average a pleasant 79°F, 26°C.
This is generally the best time to visit as it is not too hot.
March - May is the hot season,
the temperature starts warming up, it has been known to reach 40°C There is
generally less rain on Koh Samui during these months.
June - September generally
speaking, between these months, most days will be filled with sun, except for
the occasional downpour, which usually doesn't last long.
October - December frequent
showers (not monsoons) come in October, and last until sometime around mid
December, when the Samui weather generally clears up with extended periods of
dry and often sunny weather. Water sports enthusiasts should note that the sea
can get rough at this time, and visibility can be affected.
Health
No vaccinations are usually required when visiting Thailand. If you are however
planning to visit rural areas upcountry, you should consult your physician
about immunization requirements (Malaria and Hepatitis are recommended) you
should only drink bottled water and exercise caution when eating from small
local restaurants or simple food stalls. The Hotel has a doctor on call 24
hours a day for the convenience of all guests.
Foreign Currency
The local currency of the Thailand is the Thai Baht, pronounced in the same way. Foreign visitors are strongly recommended to bring sufficient funds in International currencies such as the Euro, UK Pound, Swiss franc, Yen or US Dollar in either cash or travelers checks.
Credit cards
The hotel accepts most international credit cards such as American Express,
Visa, master Card and JCB.

22v (110-220V shaver outlet in bathrooms) Adapters are available.
